Excellent tool

This app is doing everything I need it to do. Its easy to use and syncs nicely with my iPhone/Watch/Pad. My wife just switched from My Fitness Pal to Lose It. The only thing it needs is a "Back" function in the "Create a Food" process so that you dont have to start over if the first option selected in that process isnt what you need.

Best weight loss and fit life app

Have tried Fitness Pal and Life Sum. Lose it is the least annoying about upgrading and ads and the easiest to use and most motivating. Will probably go premium with this one but if I dont ... Well it is the least annoying ! They all work with Apple watch. Keeps track of calories and ratios of fat, protein & carbs. Has a way to track by day and week with fitness calories burned subtracted. Keeps the long term goal front and center. The app will search for and usually find whatever food I want to log including many brands. I can create my own food for home made things eaten frequently or just quickly estimate ingredients w search which is easy. You can also use phone camera to scan bar codes on food to log them. Happy with this one.

Helps Keep Me Honest With Myself

I started using Lose It in early 2011 at the urging of a friend. I lost 37 lbs in six months simply by trading exercise for the foods I wanted to eat. The app is so easy to use and theres help everywhere you turn. I havent been consistent in my use of the app and have naturally gained some weight back. But I keep returning to Lose It like an old friend who I know will help me out. With this app youre accountable to no one but yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you learn about yourself when you accept sole responsibility for your actions.

This app has all you need in terms of tools to meet your goals. It will not exercise for you, or diet for you, but will remind you about what you should be doing. Great app

Great food diary!

Ive been wanting to lose weight for years and this was the answer to helping me be accountable for what I eat! Its much easier than trying to write it down, the database is very thorough, I can find most anything - even foods at restaurants. I can also do a quick check on a variety of foods to make better choices. I love the daily and weekly graphs that show how Im doing. I have lost almost ten pounds so far and Im very motivated to keep going. I love this app. I just wish the free version had a way to track water intake. But besides that, I am very pleased and grateful to have this.

Losing Weight For the First Time!!

Currently going to be seventeen years of age, Ive decided to try to lose weight again in nearly three years. Used to be 202 now currently down to 192 after a month of use. It really does work. Just takes dedication and exercise.

Lose it is working for me. Ive lost weight consistently since starting the app, and Im late 50s so weight loss is a slow and reluctant process. I havent "gone premium" but some of the premium features would surely be really useful. Love the scanner.

Better than Any Other

This app is awesome. Ive lost the two pounds it promised in 1 week by following it to the dot. Finally I found an app that counts the calories for me and tells me to replenish and eat more whenever I exercise and go under my daily intake. I tried weight watchers for years, it worked once, but it was not for me. I think I must of over eaten fruits and vegetables and went over my calorie intake. I highly recommend this app.

It works! Point blank period!

I was 230 pounds and Im 54 I lost 60 pounds. And am currently using this app to maintain my weight if you are always on your iPhone I highly recommend this it changed my life and without it I wouldnt have lost weight at all. Its great in helping you monitor your calories so you dont over eat!

The addition of annoying and repetitive adds in my daily calorie intake list is unconscionable. This appears to be a strongarm method to push users toward an overpriced Premium version, which isnt needed unless you are obsessed with micromanaging every detail of your nutrition. If the Premium version is so great, why add-in the "no adds" incentive to upgrade? Let Premium stand on its own and stop annoying your faithful users (4+ years for me) with senseless ads. Im now looking for a replacement app... Otherwise, a pretty nice app with timely upgrades.

Not fair to make someone pay for premium membership to look back on previous weights. Good bye lose it!

Helpful, not a burden

I have used the weight watchers app, and I acknowledge that is effective for many, but Lose It has genuinely helped me lose 10 lbs (for one low annual fee and no promoted food products, etc.), so far. Entry is easy, the notices and reminders are not intrusive. Just generally have no complaints and I am a late middle-aged person who had basically abandoned the idea of getting to below 25 BMI, but here I am doing just that. Full disclosure: I have the Premium version (less than $10 for a year!) and a Fitbit, which saves entering activity--thanks sis-in-law, that was a Christmas gift that has truly kept giving.

Forcing you to go Premium

I love the app but now I cant watch my whole weight history. The only only way to do it is by paying the premium fee.

Love this app!! Has helped me track calories so easily!! Also has so many restaurants foods available for you to put on your calorie intake for eating out!

I hate most things, but this app was actually worth it.

I had been trying ever since I was 8 years old and bullied to eat healthier and exercise but never could; I only continued to gain. I was deemed clinically overweight by my senior year. Thats when I really started trying. I wanted to go to college happy with my body. I tried exercising and eating healthy on my own, but it wasnt until I got this app that I truly saw results. I dropped 60 pounds 10 months - not lying. I recommend this app to anyone over any other nutrition/weight loss app on the iTunes market.
